I’m building model airplane for more than thirty years. I started with a U control back on the 1969 I was 9 years old. I built all kind of airplanes, but to do this project our focus was on the avionics. So I bought an ARF ( almost ready to fly ) that for a real modeler until a few years ago, was a serious insult. This plane come already built and covered ,we but put together the airplane in a couple of evenings. This particular model is a trainer , so another insult for a long time modeler like me. I think that every body need to know their limits, so a realized long time ago that if the project that a few months before that actually something is flying, the project will stay on the bench for some time and disappear on the shelf and from our minds too. Here we have the luxury to tell the truth ,so we have to admit that we were inspired from another modeler, cyber flyer and we also used a lot of his ideas . We did not believed that a RC model airplane can fly so high with a relatively simple equipment. The engine that we initially used was a Saito 72. The plane was flying well but there wasn’t enough power to reach the altitude that we want to reach , and also this engine isn’t fuel efficient ,In pour words it was a piece of messy crap. Oil everywhere and very short fly time . We throw the brand new engine in the original box and went back to our reliable O.S. 91 Four stroke with pump. We are using two tanks for a total of 28 ounces of fuel. W do not know yet but I suppose to have at least an hour of flight at full throttle , because we already flow for 48 minute and we had some fuel left .
